This is a very special place for me. I first visited Brasstown Falls during a week-long sustainability workshop in South Carolina during my senior year of high school. On the last day of the workshop, they rounded us up into a bus and drove us to Long Creek and then we hiked to this waterfall. I remember thinking that the trail was so lush and green that it reminded of something I might see when I finally make it to Costa Rica, a place that was at the top of my list of places to see back then. Now here I am, living in Costa Rica, and this waterfall remains one of my favorite places. I have only been back once, to take this picture. I hope to go back again someday. Maybe I can share it with my son.
