While road tripping across the USA we were looking for a place to stop between Plant City and New Orleans. We found this place, Wakullah Springs, right at the half way point near Tallahassee and what gem it was. I have never seen so many manatee in one place before. Not have I seen so many alligators, or turtles. It was a pristine sanctuary for the old Florida and I am so grateful it still exists.
