I knew I had found the best job in the whole world when my country director, Larry, walked into my office and told me he wanted me to go on a trip with him and three DFID folks to check out some of the work ASSP had been doing around the country. They had chartered a plane and would be visiting four or five areas and staying at a convent on Lake Mukumba. My jaw dropped and I thanked my lucky stars. This was the first of many trips I would go on to document the work our project was doing. This particular photo was taken in the maternity ward of a hospital in Kasai.
