We had just arrived at this teahouse after a long day’s hike up and up and up on our way to Bigu Monastery in Nepal. We were exhausted and ready for a hot meal and a hard ground to sleep on. Just as we put our packs down this shaman rolled through with his entourage and performed a magical ritual, twirling over and over and all around us.
