Life Magic

Our Tribe

There is nothing more magical than finding your people in all corners and maintaining and nurturing those friendships as the years move you on and around the world. My loved ones dot the globe, and together they form a net that brings this world in for me, that makes it feel full of goodness and hope despite the atrocities we sometimes witness. The people I’ve collected on my travels are my most cherished belongings. I consider each of them seeds planted that I must continue to nourish.

I have cultivated quite the tribe during my time in Africa and I feel so blessed. As I left Johannesburg yesterday morning, my heart felt warm for the friends we’ve made in South Africa. We have not known each other long on the physical plain but already they feel like family to me.

We are leaving the continent in three weeks to have our baby in Costa Rica and won’t return until next year at the earliest, but I will continue to cultivate these cherished friendships, this family, my ever going tribe. We will keep our net strong and filled with love, and the next time we see each other it will be as if a day hasn’t passed.
