Another endless sea of tranquility from the Namib Desert, unless you were walking across it rather than flying. Then you would be anything but tranquil. A few days after I took this photo I drove to Sossusvlei and spent three days there taking photos. The shoots had to happen between the hours of 5 am and 8 Am or after 6 pm, otherwise it was just too hot and the light too harsh. That’s desert life. This is number 4 of my Namib Desert from Above series, a small selection from more than 80 photos I published in an Exposure Photo Essay.

If you find yourself in the desert and want to take this tour, contact Pleasure Flights. They’ve been doing flights like this one since 1993 and I highly recommend them!
