Yesterday we packed up – again – and moved ourselves to Costa Rica’s capital, San Jose. We will be spending a month here while we wait for our baby to come. So now I am trading salt water and sunsets for the forested mountains of the central valley. When I think of Costa Rica, I think of the beautiful beaches and I assume that is what everyone comes here for, but the central valley is home to almost three-quarters of Costa Ricans. I assume this is the case because living is cheaper in the valley and there are fewer gringos. So, for now, I will be living life like the majority of Ticos, high up in the mountains and a world away from our little beach town.
