Visiting Haiphong Bay was a magical experience. We boarded a junk boat off Cat Ba Island and for two days explored the numerous inlets and waterways between Haiphong and the more popular Halong Bay. This is a photo of one of the many fishing villages we cruised past. Since land is scarce in this steep terrain the villages are all floating on rafts. This is the true water world.
