This is a photo I took of a fern in the Los Angeles Cloud Forest in Costa Rica. This forest is a pretty magical place. Its elevation is so high that it sits, literally, in the clouds. You can watch the clouds roll through the forest as you hike through the dense, moist vegetation. Ferns love this kind of environment, so there are a ton of them here. It’s like walking through the set of Ferngully, except its real.
