The casita we are living in for these few short weeks in San Ramon sits on a perch overlooking a cow pasture that stretches far down into the valley. Yesterday I strapped my son and my camera to my chest and walked down to the bottom of our hill, searching for small details to photograph. This leaf is one of those details. At first, I thought it was a feather, which would have been really cool, but I like leaves too. And I like that in the distance you can see the tree where it most likely originated before the sweeping valley winds brought it to its final resting place. RIP.
