Yesterday we woke with the weight of yet another move on our minds. This will be the 9th since September of 2017. Some self-imposed, others not so much. The thing about getting a good deal on a piece of land in a high priced area of paradise is that you get what you pay for: problems. We still have no permit to build on our land and the owners of our house are coming home to paradise in a few days. The high season is upon us here in Nosara which means the rental rates are through the palmed thatched roof. So we decided to pack up our life here and move it into a storage unit in Tamarindo and take advantage of our homeless freedom and explore the world a little more.
We woke yesterday knowing that this would be the day that we had to make that happen. It felt heavy.
But when you move nine times in a little over a year you get really good at it. We finished packing up the house in no time. I figured it was around 3 or 4 pm when I sat down to feed Dasan. I looked at the clock and was shocked to find that it wasn’t even noon yet.
Antonio loaded the Unicorn (our shining white Nissan Xterra) and we were off. We made it to Pura Vida Storage and found that the unit we reserved was too small and the office was closed. We called up Willy, the owner, and in true Pura Vida style, he suggested that we just pick out another unit that suited our needs and let him know. So we did that. And then we headed to the beach for a nice oceanview dinner. As the sun began to set we discussed how easy the day had gone. Everything just fell into place. And then the sky did this, dropping its last blessings of the day upon us.
It seems the universe is opening its arms to us again, inviting us to come back into the world and play.
And so we go.
