I took this photo during a photo tour in Hanoi, Vietnam. I don’t usually do these kinds of things when I travel but this was one of the coolest things I did during my travels to Southeast Asia. It was just two of us with the tour guide and he took us to some pretty off-the-beaten-track places, like this community who lives on the railroad tracks that cross the city. It provided a pretty up close and personal view of the people of Hanoi, and they didn’t seem to mind the intrusion. That’s one thing that’s very different about Asia, personal space is not really a thing there.
