Sunset is a magical time to be in the water. The light paints the water in pastel blues and pinks and a since of peace settles over everything. The water even seems to get a little glassier. During my college years in Hawaii my days usually ended with a paddle out at Kaiser’s, a spot just off the jetty from Ala Moana. The paddle out to this spot from land was close to a quarter mile, so you really felt like you were IN the ocean. These were some of my favorite moments. I felt so blessed to be alive, sitting out there in the calm, quiet ocean, with nothing but the sound of waves rolling in.
