Continuing on with the photos I took during our one epic day in Hanoi on our street photography tour with Vietnam in Focus. The past few days have been solely focused on the captures of Long Bien Market. Today’s photo is the beginning of what happened next. We walked through hidden alleyways and streets and then onto a train track where we found this merchant woman selling her produce to another Hanoi citizen. If I could put a word bubble to that smile it would say something like this:
Don’t turn around but there is this strange white woman taking a million photos of us, she’s been there for like five minutes and its getting really awkward.
At least she smiled instead of chasing me off with a broomstick or throwing one of her vegetables at me.
Magic 250/365, Who’s that weird white girl taking my photo? Hanoi, Vietnam, 2017
