Ahhh, this photograph brings me back, once again, to one of the most epic photographic experiences of my life, that one time in the Namib Desert when I chartered a tiny Cessna and flew for two hours over some of the most beautiful, barren, poetic landscape I have ever had the pleasure of staring wide-eyed and slack-jawed at.
My heart still gets all warm and fuzzy when I look at these photos and think back to that marvelous afternoon. And let’s be honest, thinking back to the entire trip to Namibia inspires a longing for these wide opened spaces. Every inch of that country was stunning.
At one point I caught a glimpse of myself and our plane in this little mirror attached to the wing.
