I spent a month studying French in Villefranche-sur-mer, a quaint little village just over the mountain from Nice in Côte d’Azur. The class brought together people from all class and backgrounds. People that might not usually find themselves in the same social circle. We all came together and grew very fond of each other. One night after sharing several bottles of wine we walked tipsily back through the old town and stopped for a spontaneous snap. My friend Tom Mullen, a writer for Forbes, took this photo and we all agreed we couldn’t have shot a better one if we had planned it for weeks.

Spontaneity is the spice of life.
