The Straw that Broke the Momma’s Back

Crystal Stafford, dunes, namibia

I had been doing really well keeping up with my blog while raising a newborn and I felt like I had a really good rhythm going. Then I found out about this cool grant that I wanted to apply for. And I missed a day. And then my container from Congo came and my partner had to go deal with that, leaving me to be a single mom for a couple days (I don’t know how you ladies do it!). And then my maternity leave ended. And then I broke. I missed 4 days of my blog. This could be cause for quitting. For giving up. But I am not going to do that. I am going to power through. I am going to allow myself a fail and then keep going. So today is actually June 27th, it’s 9:12 pm, I just put Dasan to bed. Antonio crashed into our mattress soon after. The house is dark, the thunder is rumbling. There is nothing like a good thunderstorm to make you want to cuddle up to your man and fall asleep in his arms. But I am not going to do that just yet. I am going to process two more photos and write two more posts after this one and then I will be caught up. And if I keep on catching up when I fall behind I will eventually make it across the finish line.

So I am catching up on my daily posts, backdating this wonderful photo of another beautiful dune in Namibia to the 25th.
